New Video – Tyketto’s “Forever Young”
Important! Venue change for this Friday’s show!
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control and solely between the promoter of the show and venue – Rock$tar will no longer be appearing this Friday at the “Old Oscott Club”, instead the gig has been moved to one of our favourite venues “The Roadhouse” where we last played our sell-out New Years Eve show! For more information on the show please go to the Shows page HERE. Sorry for anyone not able to make The Roadhouse, but I’m sure we will get something scheduled into the Old Oscott Club because we were really looking forward to our first ever show there!
The first batch of confirmed dates for 2012 are now up online! Please go to the SHOWS page to see them! More dates to be confirmed and listed there shortly!
Another video from New Years Eve!
Metallica – Enter Sandman! ENJOY!
Have a great 2012 from everyone in Rock$tar! New shows will be added to the website shortly, but we would first just now like to give a big thank you to The Roadhouse venue and the wonderful crowd that made a *sold out* New Years Eve show so awesome! What an amazing way to start 2012!
First YouTube video from the night is now up (for Motley Crue’s “Wildside”) here -

Please welcome our new guitarist!
It is with great pleasure that we would like to unveil to you our new guitarist – Mr Rich Oxland! Rich is an extremely talented guitarist and very welcome to the ROCK$TAR fold – not only has he the chops but has a great love for the music we pay tribute to – this guy lived and walked it in the ’80s! How could we refuse anyone who’s favourite album is by Danger Danger?
Of course this came about due to previous guitarist Mark Beale’s problems suffered from a perforated ear drum and has decided he can no longer continue in the band. We wish Mark all the very best and good luck with any projects he decides to do in the future – he doesn’t need it though as he’s a very talented guy! Thank you Mark once again from all the lads for all your time, effort and hard work you put into the band … twice now!!
If you want to read up more on Rich please go to the “Bio” page on our website, or click here to go directly to his section – http://www.rockstar.uk.com/bio.php#rich
Make sure you come and check our new lineup out as we have lots of dates for 2011 going up on the site! Rich will make his debut with us on the first gig of the year at Route44 on Friday 25th February.
Thanks!
x
Unfortunately we are forced to postpone the next 2 shows (Cannock 18th Sept & Llandudno 16th Oct) due to our guitarist Mark suffering from a perforated ear drum which will require at least several weeks worth of rest. We are very sorry to do this and wish Mark all the best in his recovery hoping for a speedy one.
The rescheduled shows will be announced here as soon as we can, all other shows after are still on.
